All I Want for You(?) is Christmas(?)

Monday, 8 December 2014 @ 16:55 | 0 Comment [s]

Hello again and welcome back after a loooooooooooooooong hiatus! It's really been some time. I didn't really realize it, but it's been exactly a year since I posted. A lot has happened in the past year, and I think now I simply want to enjoy Christmas!

Iresta decorated our little home AMAZINGLY this year. I swear. Complete with snow and Christmas trees. I didn't think she expected me to come back exactly one year after I last said goodbye to her, since she was so excited she started crying a bit. Over the microphone. And I'm not exaggerating this time round - if I was to put it up in words, it went a bit like, "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD YOU'RE BACK YOU'RE BAAAAAHHHCK."

I didn't really have a lot of money on hand, so I decided to try my luck at the Arcade gacha machines for an outfit. Lady Luck was kind of on my side, though, since I got the rare full outfit in one go. And for the first time I decided to get pastels for my hair color. I mean, I've done colored hair before, deviating from my regular dark hair thing officially since last year, but I've never done pastels before. I've kind of developed a liking for colors in my hair - I don't foresee any "Back to Black" for my hair.

Oh, and the title. This was actually a funny incident that happened recently that I got told of by a friend of mine. Apparently she went to prom and some entertainer messed up the song title. It's now a huge joke now.

I think I love you better now

Hey again~ I love the above shot. Dreamie took it for me. I haven't got much to say, actually, so just enjoy the photos.
Because thing is - and this will apply for next year as well - I don't think I can keep up with posting regularly anymore. I'll probably put this blog on long hiatus very soon, once New Year is here. Mainly because of school and commitments. I'll post when I can, but I definitely can't guarantee anything.

PS. I'm fine now, I've recovered from my accident

I'm In Charge!

Tuesday, 26 November 2013 @ 21:43 | 1 Comment [s]

Hello there, it's Iresta Koray reporting for duty since Haze is half-dead after a bicycle accident involving three roads and a toe. So I'll be here to blog... the Geeks 'n' Nerds Fair!
I am sitting in a humongous Pac-Man that's about to devour me at any erroneous moment. Cheeky Pea has provided us with this OmNom chair that hasn't failed to amuse me yet, so now I get the fits and giggles every time I sit in it. What's missing now are the little PacMan ghosts we always used to run away from.

I'm overly celebrating Doctor Who at the moment with my shoes. After all, it's the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, and we can't miss that, can we? But to be honest, I really need to catch up on watching those. It's been some time.

Oh! Who can forget the Geeky Meme from Strawberry Singh?

  1. What do you consider yourself to be? Geek? Nerd? Dork? None of the above? All of the above?- I'd say... a mixture of a geek and a dork? I have some roots in video gaming as a kid, and I often have rather odd tastes in things. I'm not highly intelligent, or rather I don't think I am, and so I suppose it's that. AND I'm clumsy, if that helps with any judgement of any sort. I also like reading quite a bit. Only I haven't much time for it these days.
  2.  When and how did you first get on the internet? – I'd say when I was... young. My parents were still monitoring my usage of the internet, and whenever they weren't looking, I'd go on chatrooms and end up attracting people who have ulterior motives... And that's how I learnt to never do that ever again!
  3.  Which geek fandom do you subscribe to? – Depending on what's considered geeky? I subscribe to video game fandoms, and as for popular culture, I'd say Doctor Who, Harry Potter, TBBT, a few Marvel Comic movies...
  4.  Star Trek or Star Wars? – I'd say... Star Wars? Because someone once called me his Princess Leia and that's how I went on a Star Wars movie marathon date with him. But if I had a choice outside of that, I'd say Harry Potter. It was my childhood thing, come on!
  5.  How Geeky Are You? – [75%:You’re a bit of a plugged-in, music-streaming, cloud-syncing techie. Maybe you even recompiled a kernel once and actually knew what it meant. Or maybe when things get tricky you bluff a little.] I have no idea what this means. I just picked whatever resonated or was close enough to resonating... so.. I don't know.
And not forgetting... the geeky photo!

So that's all we have from me, and I may or may not be back depending on how regular Haze wants me to be regular... So I'm leaving you guys with the song-of-the-post: Sandstorm by Darude. (Muhahaha!)

I don't need a parachute

Friday, 22 November 2013 @ 00:30 | 0 Comment [s]

Honestly! I've ended the school term for a week. Then I log on, because my boredom delayed itself for a week. Anyway, to make up for the lack of activity... I threw down a few props on the new Sky-Hobo-ticus that Iresta threw up (from her virtual intelligent mouth).
Okay: I didn't intend to pick a grungy outfit... nor did I foresee myself pairing it with fishnets, socks and heels. I was looking for a flowery dress, and this caught my eye... so I bought it instead! Unfortunately for me Shoetopia was packed to the brim and I couldn't step in to get some appropriate shoes.
I'm putting these two shots together mainly because I'm experimenting with angles a lot this time round. With the first emphasizing on the face and the second emphasizing on the shoes (Lucky Iresta nicked a pair and I'm jealous. Her shoe rack even has security passwords now because of me. And yes, she is nude. On the bunky bed. I'm afraid to go near it now.)

Also, for the first time... I've decided to participate in the Blog Memes challenge by Strawberry Singh, as per suggested by the head of the house.
So, here goes!

  • Regardless of your current number, how old do you actually feel? - I feel... my age, I suppose. It's hard for me to feel any older, because I'm still growing mentally and emotionally, but it's also hard for me to feel younger, because I've already grown mentally and emotionally. And once you've developed a body, you can't really un-develop it, can you?
  • Which is worse, failing or never trying? – Never trying. Not saying that failing's not bad, but when you try, at least you have a chance of making it there. There's a saying in Chinese "失败乃是成功之母", which basically means that success is always preceded by failure. Not trying eliminates both success and failure.
  • If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?– Darn. I'd probably quit school immediately and pack my bags and travel around the world with S.
  • Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? – I'd try to do the right things while doing the things right, in other words, doing the right things right. Which would mean, yes, I'm often a very worried and worrisome person.
  • Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? – I'd be a worried genius, unfortunately. Joyful simpleness is often very appealing, but I like to be challenged just a little, once in a while.
  • Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? – Quite indefinitely, yes and no. S and I share a mutuality that go way beyond any sort of friendship I've ever had. We think of each other's well-being and have each other's interests at heart. Like once I went visiting S, and I figured he'd be hungry since he went out without breakfast, and so I made sandwiches and brought them over. Likewise, he saw a couple of plushies on sale, and he thought I'd like them (which I did!) and bought an extra one for me. On the other hand, with others, it's quite different. For some people, I want them as a friend close enough to talk to, yet, assuming that they wouldn't reciprocate, I never got closer.
  • Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? – Anything that upset me from 5 years ago doesn't really bother me anymore, really! I do remember them, but honestly, I've grown a lot since then. I've gotten over it to the point it doesn't hurt to talk about it, and it's honestly very silly.
  • At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? – When the year-long project ended! Because that signified the end of the school term, mostly. We celebrated like a bunch of insane squirrels - we had dinner together twice and went to the beach and went to the mall and had a picnic and danced about.
  • If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? – Maybe! And then start a business (another job!?) but probably something that I'm interested in. Like I said, I like a challenge every now and then. Having or earning money isn't really the point. It's really the process of doing something, and getting it with your own hands.
  • If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? – Everybody that I care about the deepest. I'd gather them all at one spot, exchange hugs and kisses and have a mass suicide er, prayer session.
  • What do you feel is the difference between being alive and truly living? – Being alive is... well, simply having your heart beating, the blood flowing through your veins and your mind active and capable. That's being alive. Truly living is when you feel the meaning of it all and feel happy because it's meaningful.
  • If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? – Simply because mistakes aren't always very forgiving. People aren't always very forgiving. But you've always got to make them once in a while! Small ones. Just so no one can poke at you.
  • What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? – I'd cut my hair... and let my wild curls grow out! I've always joked that if I let my curls grow out without straightening it, I'd have an Afro. I'd sport an Afro... if nobody said a thing!
  • If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? – You're special. In your own way, but don't do terrible things.

  • I'm out!

    Hell-o-ween

    Thursday, 31 October 2013 @ 00:11 | 0 Comment [s]

Ssssh! Who's that, in the distance?
The Queen Mother descends upon us...
Hello again! It's been some time since I was here. But I'm here not to make another (monthly?!) post, but to celebrate Halloween! Or rather, Hell-o-ween, since I've a knack for doing the creepy and spooky things.
I wasn't exactly intending to go for a royal theme, but I had in mind something creepy and bloody, like last year. But it's nice to mix both bloody and royal.
And the queen visits its servant, the giant spider, who has decapitated and mutilated a body....
Iresta is a witch! We took this little shot before we got down to any decorating; we were too lazy to take it after that!

So that's the Hell-O-Ween post, Seeya very soon!

    Looking at the autumn shade

    Thursday, 3 October 2013 @ 00:34 | 0 Comment [s]

Hello again after thirty-one days! I'm still in the midst of examinations, so it's not exactly or completely convenient for me to write up a full and proper post yet. But I've gone on a short shopping trip with Iresta again (she got to buy more than I did! Whyyyy!?), and the rest is history!

Okay, I've got to come clean. You've got to have some imagination when you're here, on my blog, y'know! Some things are true and some things aren't. Well, not that those things aren't true, but rather, it is true, just retold in a way that it isn't exactly true.

Okay, I haven't much to say. Love ya guys, see you guys soon as I'm out of examinations and pressures!
