Droplet of Dreams

Funny thing is, people are all on about things that make sense and things that don't. Thing is, things that make sense actually don't. We're just fooling ourselves into thinking that it makes sense. For example, 1+1 doesn't mean 2. It's just that one day in history, a smartass put one and one together, made up the word two and told us that 1+1=2. If the stars had aligned differently that day, it may not have been the same. And so this method of fooling ourselves into believing that it makes sense carries on and on for centuries until it totally makes sense. If I went to another world one day and decided to rule the world, I can tell them that a day has eight weeks and there are only 100 days in a year. They'd slowly believe it and slowly this concept would grow, become widespread and soon it'd 'make sense' just like how 1+1=2 in our world.
Even the pioneers are blind followers, following the trend of trendsetting. How ironic, and how silly can trends be?
Whilst we forgot how to look within the less extreme, we worked towards irony.
